Commodore: CEO, Oversees business
activities of the HMBYC, sets agenda an chairs regular meetings
of Board of Directors (BOD), establishes goals and identifies
ways and means to achieve them and chairs the long-term planning
committee.
Vice Commodore: Special Events,
chairs future nominating committee, oversees the long-term planning
committee and back up to the Commodore.
Rear
Commodore: Adult and Youth Sailing Program, racing, cruise-ins,
cruise-outs, inter-club affairs, YRA and PICYA.
Secretary:
Records and files Club meeting notes and other necessary correspondence,
mails and posts reciprocal notices to and from other Yacht Clubs,
arranges periodicals, newsletters and magazines so current copies
are accessible to members and maintains the Club's bulletin board.
Treasurer: Chief financial officer, oversees
day-to-day cash flow, manages operations budget, prepares monthly
report to BOD of operations and capital accounts, insurance & taxes
and prepares annual audit.
Port Captain:
Ensures Watch Officer and Hospitality training, maintains Club
inventories/shopping lists, the calendar for all events held at
the Clubhouse, coordinates meal and bartending services by prior
arrangement; oversees Ship's Stores, Bar Management and Housekeeping
activities.
Facilities: Maintains Clubhouse
building and grounds property and arranges for ongoing or emergency
repairs and cleanup as needed. Collaborates with Boatyard Manager
in maintaining the boatyard property.
Membership: Maintains quarterly membership roster, notifies members in arrears,
maintain name tags; sign-in & guests logs, organizes and hosts
recruiting events.
Director at Large: Boating
education & safety, maintenance of Club's boat fleet, liaison
to PCAC, SMCHD, County Supervisors, etc.
Other Duties:
Bar
Manager: Manages and maintains Clubhouse bar and its inventory;
special orders by arrangement for members' parties and other events.
Quartermaster: Manages and maintains Ships
Stores' merchandise stock; organizes and schedules fashion displays;
special orders by arrangement.
The Boatyard
Manager: is responsible for determining space availability
in the boatyard on a first come, first come basis. The Boatyard
Manager will also provide tenants 30-days written notice should
they become delinquent in their rental payments.
Webmaster: is responsible for general website updates, maintenance, and well being. Duties include — update monthly news letter, add/remove links as per board requests, maintain calendar and contact information, resolve website problems and issues, coordinate and communicate with web designer/architect as needed regarding major website updates, maintain log of website updates, monitor disk quotas, and tracking suggestions for website improvements.
